Why have a colonic?

What are the benefits of Colonic Hydrotherapy? Is it right for me?
For all round good health we need to pay attention to our digestive system. This includes the colon. The colon contains billions of friendly bacteria which help to detoxify waste matter and protect against infection. Internal and external factors such as stress, processed foods, smoking, travel, artificial additives and medication can change the balance in the colon and compromise the digestive system. In turn, impacted faeces and other waste products build up in the colon and can cause a number of health problems. Firstly, this decomposing matter is toxic. The toxins can re-enter the blood stream making us feel ill, tired or weak. Secondly, impacted material impairs the colon’s ability to use minerals and the bacterial-produced vitamins. Finally, a build-up of waste on the colon wall can inhibit muscular action, causing sluggish bowel movements and constipation.

By paying attention to small changes in our toilet habits, we can prevent bigger problems from developing. A varied diet with enough water and fibre, along with regular exercise and relaxation time, can all help prevent our digestive system from becoming sluggish. In addition to this, removing toxic matter from the bowel through Colonic Hydrotherapy can rejuvenate both the body and mind and may help with (to name but a few):
Allergies
Asthma
Bloating
Candida
Cellulite
Constipation
Diarrhoea
Eczema
Fatigue
Gas
Headaches
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
Leaky Gut Syndrome
Lethargy
Migraines
Psoriasis
Stress
Weight gain and normalisation

How many sessions will I need?

Treatment will gently guide the process of the body to start detoxifying and wanting to eliminate waste and toxins that have built up in the colon. Each client is treated as an individual and a personal plan is worked out to enable you to keep your digestion and colon in good condition helping overall good health. This will include how many sessions that would be advised for optimum benefits.
Normally a few treatments will be needed to fully cleanse the colon and restore bowel regularity depending on the reasons for having treatment, as it can take a little while to get to the root of the problem on how it is behaving.
To ensure that you gain the most from your Colonic Hydrotherapy session a comprehensive consultation is done before treatment - this includes medical history and questions about your diet and lifestyle.

Sessions cost £70 & are payable by cash or cheque or BACS transfer
